rough cut

What we liked

As a group, we decided that we liked the soundtrack because we thought that it fits the genre, which is a romantic thriller. We liked the sound effects, we feel it creates suspense, the creeking of the door and the footsteps.

Problem

At 39 seconds, the audience are suppose to hear the natural sound, of the actor making noises. We decided as a group to cut the end, where she stabs him with the knife and, replace it with a lcose up of her face, giving a evil look. And we need to add the rest of the sound track and sound effects, and put on the credits.

Romance inspires me at the moment because i like to watch love films that just make me go ''awwww" it's just very interesting for me, I think romance it's very beautiful. And the Thriller suspense sub genre inspires me a lot because i love being scared, i love the thrill, the feeling that goes from head to toes when i get frightened is very exciting.

The art of the title sequence

  • The style of the title Het Klokhuis ...
  • The program primarily covers science but includes lots of other things like culture, history and technology, and is on every day
  • the images The images include an Apple, this Icy inside of an apple, space, fishes, the Earth,
  • types of shot***
  • what appeals to me... The thing that appeal to me about this title sequence is the colors of it, it is very eye opening because the colors they use are quite bright, the background is simple which is what makes the actual object used stand out even more and seem even brighter. I find it very interesting because of the way they have sort of used so many things like science, showing the space with all the planets on an APPLE.

Card game Practice

In this task, we made a short film on a game of cards between two people. This film is intended to be thrilling, exciting and mysterious. So to achieve this we decided to use a range of shots to catch the audiences attention and leave them tense. We also added spooky sounds to intensify the clip.

There were 15 shots. They were:
  • Shot reverse shot of the table. This continued every time we added something new to the table.
  • Panning of the room in a fast speed.
  • Zooms in and out of the cards suddenly appearing on the table.
  • Zooms in and out of the hands appearing on the table playing cards (boy & girl).
  • Cross cuts between a plain table, spinning chair and cards scattered on the table.

We shot each shot separately and put them all together in the end by using technical audit and added sound effects by using live type and sound.
