Question 1) Ways our media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products

Image 1 is our institution company "Candi Studios" We chose to do this institution
because it was cheaper, and it was easier to find. When the institution shows the
sound vibrates the room and, it already has the thrilling suspense to it already.
When the i vibrates the room, it has the thrilling suspense to it already.

Image 2 is our title of the thriller title sequence "UNEXPECTED". Which is a romantic
thriller. We chose to make the colour of the title red because, we associated romance
with red which signifies blood and death and, romance can also be associated with
roses . The font is formal, broad and, suspicious.

Image 3 is a close up of both of the "lover's" holding hands at the dinner table. The
font of the credits are the same as the actual title. We decided to keep the title and
credits the same because we wanted to keep it consistent. The sound is
continuous, it is like a piano playing repeatedly which creates suspense as the
audience do not know what is going to happen next.

Image 4 is a over the shoulder shot of the character looking into
the mirror. When the character looks into the mirror, there is a screaming sound,
which puts the audience on edge.

Image 5 is a close up on the characters face tied up. Here we decided to have natural
sound because the character was making moaning sounds which make the audience
have sympathy for the character. You can also hear the sound of the nature which
gives the audience an insight of the location.

Image 6 is close up of both characters. The victim and the murderer.

Image 7 is a close up of the murderer's face, and the victim is in the background.

Our opening title sequence devolped the forms and conventions. As we did not come with the thrill straight away. The use of close ups and sound effects gave it away, that something is going to happen. For example the sound of the heels and the creeking of the door. At the same time all these things built up the tension and suspense in our title sequence. And we built up tension in a seductive way, as it is a romantic thriller.

I chose to compare our title sequence to "He loves me, he loves me not" because it is a romantic thriller just like ours, but it seems more like a family comedy film, so it does not get straight to the point. I noticed that the font used in "He loves me, he loves me not" is quite similar to our title sequence, accept the font in ours is red. And the way the credits fade in and out. However, in "He loves me, he loves not" the credits looks in formal, whereas our title sequence credits looks more formal. I think the font for our title sequence and "He loves me , he loves me not" shows the femininity of the films, because the main characters are women. I chose the still image of the woman's face because, this shot is similar to our title sequence, as we have close ups and clear shots of the characters face. I noticed that the character looks normal, young, and innocent, but she may also have a dodgy side to her. Compared to our main character, they have the same personalities. The sound for our title sequence was patronising and it drags on. while the sound in "He loves me, he loves me not", is a happy, calm, and soothing. The institution used in "He loves me, he loves me not", is not a famous big institution, because it may not be an expensive movie.
